We serve King Jesus now by delivering His offer of surrender to rebels in the world. As we do, we can expect to meet opposition and hostility from many. But the few, the chosen few, will joyfully accept His offer and become part of His church.
This week, we see the second way to serve King Jesus while He is away. We serve Him by taking care of His bride, the church.
Please take a few minutes to read through this week text and answer the questions as we prepare our minds for worship.
“I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you to make the word of God fully known, 26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to His Saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Nations are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. 29 For this I toil, struggling with all His energy that He powerfully works within me.”
1) What can you discover about the mystery in 1:26-27?
2) To whom has the mystery been revealed?
3) What was Paul's goal for the church in 1:28 and how is it accomplished?
